Dear Farmington River Families

I’ve attached this week’s newsletter for you to review. Inside, you’ll find an important message about finishing the school year strong, reminders about the importance of attendance during these final weeks, and information about our upcoming Field Day sponsored by the PTA.

There are also many wonderful highlights from around the school, including kindergarten’s field trip to Lupa Zoo, updates from fifth grade as students wrapped up MCAS testing, and a special visit from gemologist Steven Hofer for our second and third grade students. You’ll also find updates from PE classes, where students have been learning archery and participating in cooperative games focused on teamwork and problem-solving.

The newsletter also celebrates our Dragon’s Den after-school program, the PTA-sponsored Ice Cream Social and Dragon Tube reward, and the creative 5th-grade Pixel Art collaboration between computer and art classes. In addition, families can read more about the upcoming spring musical, Dragonwood Academy of Mischief and Mayhem, written in part by our students.
